1. Prepare the Meat Sauce

Chop the bacon into small pieces. In a pot, heat the olive oil and sauté the bacon to release its fat. Add the finely chopped garlic and onion and sauté. Add the ground meat, breaking it up well. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Blend the tomatoes in a blender.

Pour in the dry wine and let the alcohol evaporate. Add the blended tomatoes, tomato paste, chicken broth, and sugar. Mix well and cook covered over low heat for one hour until thickened.

2. Cook the Lasagna Sheets

Boil water with salt and a drizzle of oil. Cook the lasagna sheets until al dente, about 5 to 6 minutes. Remove them and place them to dry on a clean surface.

3. Mix the Cheeses

In a bowl, mix the ricotta cheese with the Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley. Adjust salt if necessary.

4. Assemble the Lasagna

Grease the bottom of a baking dish with oil. Place a layer of pasta sheets. On top, add a layer of the cheese mixture, then a layer of meat. Repeat the process until the dish is filled. Finish with mozzarella cheese on top, sprinkle Parmesan, and a little more parsley.
