Chicken Breast Steak: Juiciness and Aroma in Every Bite

A light and flavorful option to enjoy at home. This chicken breast steak is marinated with traditional ingredients that enhance its taste and turn it into an irresistible dish, perfect for a family meal without losing its authentic Cuban touch.

🍗 Essential Ingredients:

  • 2 large chicken breasts
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 1 white onion
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

 

 

🔪 Step 1: Prepare the fillets

Slice each chicken breast lengthwise to obtain thin pieces. Place them inside a plastic bag and gently pound them with a mallet until an even thickness is achieved. Set aside in a large container.

🧄 Step 2: Make the marinade

Crush the garlic with a pinch of salt using a mortar. Add the lemon juice, cumin, oregano, and pepper. Mix well until fully combined.

🧅 Step 3: Marinate with onion

Cut the onion into thin strips. Rub the steaks with the marinade on both sides, making sure they are well coated. Add the onion on top, cover the container, and refrigerate for at least one hour.

🔥 Step 4: Cook to perfection

Remove from the refrigerator and let them rest for a few minutes to reach room temperature. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Place the steaks in the pan, removing excess onion and garlic to prevent burning. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes on each side until golden brown. Then add the onion and marinade juices back in, cover, and cook for one more minute to blend the flavors.
